Brighton Photo-fusions

Rik Ward

As an artist keen to experiment, I took the same approach to learning how to optimise photos on my PC. Consequently I accidental created an innovative composite image and I have been exploiting this method ever since. I call these images "photo-fusions" as the process is very specific and the resulting images are thought by many to be strikingly unique. All my images are created from at least two of my own photos.

I prefer to call my work 'photo art’ as opposed to 'digital art’. I don't digitally create any elements in my photo-fusions - everything is in the photos and the effects of the software I use.

Although I take photos at home and abroad, Brighton's vibrancy and diversity has always been a great draw; its urban and coastal characteristics are always an inspiration on every visit.
