Sozinhos

Helik van Rynswoud

The project Sozinhos is part of an ongoing investigation surrounding family life, relationships and motherhood. This chapter aims to explore our family life during the lockdown period.

It is a visual autobiographical diary that depicts our experience during this time. We are suddenly confined in our homes, unable to see family and friends, and the children cannot play with or get close to anyone out of the household.

This unnatural situation bring us together as a family, and on a daily basis we need to learn how to deal with repetition, boredom and fear of loss and chaotic situations. My husband is a key worker and continued to work as usual.
