Danny Wilson Memorial Awards
The Danny Wilson Memorial Awards were established to commemorate the life and work of the late Director of Brighton Photo Fringe who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in 2008.
Once again this year there are three winning categories.
People’s Choice
Selected by the visiting public.
You can vote by Instagram, Twitter, online form, or all three.
Prize includes: portfolio review with a Photo Fringe Board member; interview on Photo Fringe website and a free submission to the OPEN22 SOLO award.
Professionals’ Choice
The best emerging photographer exhibiting as part of the Photo Fringe 2020, online and in real life, will be selected by a panel of experts.
Prize includes: £500 in cash and mentoring sessions with a Photo Fringe Board member and Metro Imaging Ltd, and an artist’s talk event during 2021.
Selected by: Ibrahim Azab, artist; Julia Bunnemann, Curator at Photoworks; Nadia Thondrayen, Curator at John Hansard Gallery; Becky Warnock, artist and lecturer at LCC; Anne Williams, photography consultant and educator.

Trainee Curators’ Choice
Selected by the Photo Fringe Trainee Curators: Erin James, Pelumi Odubanjo and Flynn McDonnell.
Prize includes: portfolio review with Trainee Curators and a Photo Fringe Board member; an interview on our website and free entry to OPEN22 SOLO.
