Call of Nature

Ania Woodgate

I have been living in Eastbourne for 16 years and I call myself fortunate as I live at the gate to the beautiful South Downs National Park. I also have a great passion for two things; cycling and photography. I love to take photos on my short and long trips on The Downs and share them with people to remind them what a beautiful place we live in. I want show people that we are part of this beauty and we don't have to travel far to connect with Nature.
I would call my photography a spontaneous process. I just got that feeling that I need to connect to nature; to take a break from reality. When this feeling's overwhelmed me I just take my bike and camera and cycle on Downs. These trips are reflected in my photographs.
I love to be on The Downs in all kinds of weather, that’s why my photographs mirror different light, mood, colours and textures. I know from my experiences that I can walk or ride to the same places and I will get different view, perspective and idea for a next photo.
