'For that moment' is a collection of eleven handcut collage works that reflect on themes of precarity, isolation, borders, uncertainty and societal polarisation.

Artist biography

Mark Murphy is a UK based artist and designer. Working with fragments of found images from the last 70 years he creates both analogue and digital collages that play with graphic composition, juxtaposition, space, scale and surrealism. Sometimes abstract, sometimes figurative, often humorous, Mark's works explore the societal and political landscape of the times we live in and have been exhibited widely both in the UK and internationally. In 2019 he created a series of large scale public projections for Blast! Festival. He is a member of the international artist group 'The Collage Club' and also a member of Birmingham Collage Collective.
